Kaua'i 2012

The beauty of God's creation awes and inspires me!  And I am so grateful my hubby and I had the opportunity to enjoy His creation for 6 days on the gorgeous island of Kaua'i.

Blessing in Disguise: We had requested a basic convertible, but since it was having problems "converting," we were upgraded to a Camaro - what fun!  We had our first tropical rain on the 30 minute drive to our hotel, so we had to pull over on the side of the road to put the top back up.  Our adventure has begun!

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Poi'pu, and it was indeed grand.  Here I am on our lanai - what a gorgeous view to wake up to each morning!

While Josh attended his conference, I enjoyed several quiet walks along the beach.

Then we enjoyed sightseeing together.

While snorkeling we saw this unicorn fish and many other fun tropical fishies!

We got to see these mom and baby Hawaiian monk seals!

And one of the biggest delights of the trip for me: a sea turtle!
 Such a beautiful place!

I was probably most surprised by all the roosters - they are everywhere!

At the top of Waimea Canyon...can you spy the helicopter?
Shave ice...with macadamia nut ice cream!

Another wonderful night of no cooking!

Thank you Lord for a refreshing and beautiful time with my hubby!
