My girls and I are big fans of Valentine's Day! I love the romance, sweetness, flowers and chocolate. My girls love the fun celebration we have each year as a family. And Josh, well, he usually goes with the flow, but this year...he wowed me with his tender-heartedness for us girls! It started mid-day when I came home from Bryn's preschool to a dozen roses and a beautiful box of chocolates, plus a cheeseburger for lunch! ;-) Then, as dinnertime approached, he dressed up in his Valentine-red button-up shirt along with a tie...so handsome!
And while I was throwing our heart-shaped Papa Murphy's Pizza in the oven, I heard the sound of the song from our first dance as husband and wife, Steven Curtis Chapman's "I Will Be Here." I walked into the living room, and he was waiting for me to dance with him. When Bryn wanted to join us, he said, "No, this dance is for mommy. You're next!" It was darling to see Makenzi photographing and videotaping us while we danced.
Next Josh chose Michael W. Smith's "I will be here for you" as he slow-danced with Bryn. She cuddled close and held on tight as her daddy danced her around the room.
Next it was Alli's turn, and simply precious to see her dancing to "Butterfly kisses" on her daddy's feet.
Makenzi patiently waited for her turn, and enjoyed dancing to "The Climb" with her dad with a dip at the end!
Then all the girls joined in for a final Valentine dance with daddy.

And on to our candlelight dinner! How blessed we are that God has lavished us with such love!
