Calling Jesus

These are a few of my recent prayers in response to the awesome devotions in "Jesus Calling." The cool thing is I am using God's Words and just saying them back to Him!

I want to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, Lord God. I want to be like Jesus, always doing what pleases you Lord. God, whatever I do, help me to work at it with all my heart, working for you. You are the one I am serving. (Matthew 6:23, John 8:29, Colossians 3:23-24)

Lord, I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul. You created my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. God, it is amazing to think that I am being transformed into Your image. May my life glorify You! (Mark 8:36, Psalm 139:13-16, 2 Corinth 3:17-18)

I rejoice in you always Lord. I rejoice! Help me learn to be content in any and every situation dear Lord. I know I can do anything you want me to - through YOU. You are my strength. I praise you Lord, that you are the same yesterday, today and forever. (Philippians 4:4, 12 and Psalm 102:27)
