Wow -what an adventure! We were among 3 families from our church to host neighborhood Vacation Bible School in our backyards. We had 14 kids (including my 3) come for 3 hours of learning about serving family, friends, neighbors, community and Jesus. We played games, sang songs, made crafts, heard great Bible stories, and shared God's love. What a neat opportunity to reach out to our neighborhood. At the end of our time together I asked the kids what they learned today, and my favorite answer was, "I learned that we can have fun serving the Lord." Here are a few pictures of our fun-filled day.

Snacks - After hearing the story of the man Jesus healed and told to pick up his mat and walk, we rolled up our own snack mats: tortillas with peanut butter, bananas, m&m's and sunflower seeds - they were tasty!
Thank God for a great day with great helpers!!!
